Garden Orb Weaver

For the past week I have been admiring the tenacity of a garden orb weaver spider who spins its web each evening between two trees near my front door.   I first noticed it when I accidentally walked through the main cross web which unfortunately collapsed the intricately woven orb.  Every night since then, the cross web has been strung much higher- the spider wasn't going to let all its work be destroyed again!  The innate intelligence of nature is incredible!
