This past weekend I worked on some designs for tea towels. During the summer I frequented local farmer's markets and was constantly amazed at the assortment of beautiful, colorful, fresh vegetables and fruits. I ended up buying vegetables I'd never cooked with before just to photograph them! I ended up discovering some wonderful, unusual flavors and am much more open minded as I peruse the produce aisles these days. I used some of the photos for these designs. The textured background was originally a photo of tree bark which I manipulated on the Enlight photo app. The veggie photos were layered over the background with the Superimpose app. The finishing touches were done using Procreate.

I am sending the artwork to an online fabric printing company called Spoonflower, and the designs will be printed on a linen-cotton blend which should be perfect for tea towels. I am placing the order tonight and will share the finished product in a few weeks!
