Chartreuse, pistachio, fern, forest, viridian, emerald, thalo, sap, and many many more- all names of resplendent shades of green. Today, I was happy to see many variations of greens on my morning walk. I've long admired the color, pattern, and texture on tree trunks but today was a feast for the eyes! The weather has been frigid and damp and with the exception of evergreen plants and trees, most life lays dormant. But lichen and moss thrive between the folds of tree bark. I am reminded of what my sister Kim used to say, "In the details of life is where the beauty of love is revealed."
