A few weeks ago, I spent 4 days with my good friend, Marie Jacques, at her condo in Destin, Florida. Destin is located on the Gulf of Mexico where the sand looks and feels like white sugar and the ocean is an ever changing ombre of incredibly beautiful shades of blue and emerald green. Many years ago Destin was known mainly as a fishing village and to this day the ocean remains healthy and teeming with life. It's thrilling to see the many varieties of colorful fish swimming in the clear shallow water off the shore, dolphin pods feeding out at sea, and scoops of brown pelicans skimming the water. It's truly a bit of paradise on this earth.
